My Mission

Every interaction is an opportunity to encourage and build someone up. It is my mission to empower you, as a servant leader, to have better interactions... to be authentic and truly present with those you lead.

My Story

My Core Beliefs Fuel My Approach to Coaching

I believe that we have each been created as unique individuals with a specific purpose. We have raw materials (think characteristics, abilities, and talents) that we can use to serve that purpose. Our experiences work together to refine and shape us into the people we were created to be. Only I can be me and only you can be you!

My Journey to My Purpose

The early years of my career taught me some important lessons, both for myself as an individual and in the context of a team.

Compromising My Personal Goals and Health

I’m highly conscientious and dedicated–those are great qualities, right? The problem was–as I worked at accomplishing goals in the workplace–there was always more to be done. I was too good at saying "yes" to all of it!  I finally realized that it was negatively impacting every other area of my life and wouldn't change unless I did something to change it.  That's when I walked away to begin the process of figuring out my "what" and my "why."

Culture’s Role in Team Performance

A toxic culture can break down even the best team and has a negative impact on their performance. I have observed and experienced this first-hand! When there is a lack of respect for others for any reason it fosters an environment that stifles engagement and innovation and leads to a failure to attain results.

Of course, after I went through the 4D DISC assessment, it made complete sense.  As someone who values equivalence and justice, I couldn’t thrive in an organization that didn’t have a fundamental respect for every person in the office, regardless of their job title. A great culture doesn’t happen by accident. It must be intentionally created. You can’t cross your fingers and hope for the best.

My experience made me aware of how important it is that other people be allowed to live out their purpose too. It inspired me to shift gears and pursue a career in leadership coaching, people development, and culture-building.
